About Mrs. Bean...
My name is Tracey Bean, and I am a 5th grade teacher at Werner Elementary. I received my bachelor's in English and Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado. My first teaching job was at Jackson Elementary in Greeley, Colorado. I taught first, second and third grade during my time there. After taking a few years off to raise my own kids and complete my masters degree in professional leadership (principal license,) I returned to work for Poudre schools at Rice Elementary teaching fourth grade. Now I have found a new home at Werner. I was the gifted & talented teacher for seven years but am excited to be teaching 5th grade now for the third year. I enjoy helping kids find joy in learning and success on a daily basis.
I have been married for over 25 years to my wonderful husband Rob who works in the business world doing marketing and media work for clients. I have two children. Megan Louise is in college, and Lucas is in high school. Our family enjoys skiing, camping, canoeing, and traveling together. Some of our adventures have taken us to Mexico, Hawaii, Disney World, New York City, Washington DC, France, Italy, Switzerland, and camping all over the US. When I get a free moment to myself, I LOVE to read and play musical instruments (especially my guitar and ukulele.)
